Patient-controlled health data management in action with MIDATA for AIDAVA
Our partner MIDATA has built the MIDATA for AIDAVA web app, a working implementation of patient-controlled, interoperable health data that is already being used in clinical practice across three countries. Developed as part of the Horizon Europe AIDAVA project, the app puts patients in control of their own health records while making that data meaningful, readable, and shareable across institutional boundaries.
The app supports:
- International Patient Summary (IPS) visualisation and translation
- Patient-reported outcome (PROM) questionnaire visualisation
- Document capture and upload
- Blood pressure monitor data integration
The app is currently being used in the AIDAVA assessment study at four leading clinical institutions: Medizinische Universität Graz in Austria, Põhja-Eesti Regionaalhaigla in Estonia, and Maastricht UMC+ and Maastro in the Netherlands.
