AIDAVA Work Packages
The consortium activities have been organised in seven work packages with clearly defined objectives and responsibilities for each specific partner. All project management activities will be conducted as part of WP7, including communication and dissemination activities.

Work Package 1 - Use cases
WP1 focuses on the business problem to be solved through development of the use cases and testing the AIDAVA prototype in real life settings. Academic hospitals and HDIs will be working together, with focus on federated patient registries for hospitals and longitudinal health records for HDIs.
Work Package 2 - Design
WP2 aims at designing the AIDAVA solution, developing a detailed quality enhancement and FAIRification process—with related metadata and data privacy constraints—to be used as the basis of automation within a novel solution for which we will explore market potential in this WP.
Work Package 3 - Prototype
WP3 will develop the two generations of the prototype in three languages (Estonian, Dutch, German). Generation 1 will integrate and orchestrate existing (open source or licensed) tools, including existing imaging data curation tools. In Generation 2, the library of data curation tools will be updated with the novel tools and the user interface will integrate the human-AI collaboration module developed in WP5.
Work Package 4 - Data Management, Ethics
WP4 focuses on Ethical, Legal and Social Implications (ELSI) compliance, ensuring that ethical and legal constraints are considered when designing the system, testing the prototype and developing new AI models with WP5. WP4 is also responsible for defining metrics when testing the prototype. Finally, WP4 will deliver annotated training data sets in 3 languages for the DL models to be developed.
Work Package 5 - Novel Tools
WP5 aims at developing innovative tools, based on Deep Learning Applications for natural language processing (DL/NLP) and vector representation to extract structured data from clinical narratives, and on ML to increase quality of structured data, including information fusion and processing of missing data. The third task in this WP is focusing on human-AI collaboration to maximise acceptance and contribution of individuals.
Work Package 6 - Innovation Management
WP6 ensures consistent communication, networking, and dissemination for targeted outreach to identified stakeholders. Strategic planning and implementation of exploitation and sustainability activities will ascertain that the results are captured, assessed, and used, during and beyond the project's lifetime.
Work Package 7 - Project Management
WP7 will set-up a clear organisational framework, guide efficient implementation of all activities and ensure that objectives, contractual commitments will be qualitatively and quantitatively met in time. The tasks of the Coordinator in respect to project management will be the overall monitoring and coordination of any scientific and technical activities at consortium level.
