AIDAVA brings together hospitals to discuss European Health Data Space implementation
On 29 April 2026, AIDAVA supported a hospital roundtable in Tallinn, Estonia, gathering hospital managers and health data experts from across Europe to discuss the practical realities of implementing the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
The full-day event explored how hospitals can prepare for EHDS requirements, covering topics such as data quality, interoperability, the readiness of hospital information systems, and the potential of AI-driven tools to reduce implementation costs and bring concrete clinical benefits. A key discussion point was the economic case for AI-powered data curation, with analysis suggesting that tools like AIDAVA could dramatically reduce the burden on hospitals as data holders under both EHDS1 and EHDS2.
The event concluded with participants working toward concrete recommendations for making EHDS implementation effective at the hospital level.
