AIDAVA at iHD Health Data Summit 2025
At Health Data Summit 2025, organised by our partner The European Institute for Innovation Through Health Data on March 18–19 in Brussels, Isabelle de Zegher from the b!loba delivered a keynote on “Health Data Quality, What is My Return as A Citizen?”. She explained the importance of measuring data quality at the individual level, rather than only at population level. This is critical for each patient as bad quality may have life threatening consequence. It is however very difficult to measure data quality at data sources level as data are so heterogenous. AIDAVA brings a solution by enabling to check data quality within curated data sources, through data quality checks. As such it enable to measure data quality of each individual record, in a scalable way.
Our coordinator Remzi Celebi from Universiteit Maastricht contributed to the session ‚Advanced Strategies and Tools for Ensuring High-Quality Data during Data Mapping“ with an innovative talk “Common Data Quality Errors During Data Mapping and How to Detect Them”, where he explained the difficulty of mapping data sources to data standards such as FHIR and SNOMED and demonstrated through a simple and concrete example – related to measurement – the different semantic of these two standards. He then explained the tools that have been developed within AIDAVA to support improved and consistent mapping.
Many thanks to all participants and to iHD for organising this great conference.
