Automate Curation and Publishing of
Personal Health Data Through Artificial Intelligence

📢 2025 marks a major milestone for i~HD (The European Institute for Innovation through Health Data) as they celebrate their 10th anniversary, with as main event the Annual Conference in Ghent. On December 2nd the AIDAVA path toward sustainable interoperability hackathon is going to take place. Join us for the parallel session on the Simple Upper Level Ontology (SULO): a semantic interoperability framework, aligning healthcare data models and standards for better reusability.

See more details here.

The workshop is specifically tailored for experts with advanced experience in ontology and health data standards. Our primary objective is to foster a shared understanding and common language around the crucial role of Upper-Level Ontologies (ULOs) in health data interoperability . More precisely, we aim to:

  • Forge a common understanding of "ontology" across standards: build consensus on what "ontology" means.
  • Clarify the value proposition of SULO
  • Present practical use cases from AIDAVA and Res-Q+
  • Validate the approach through hands on exercise and test SULO as a semantic hub.

To maximize our collaborative time, we will request participants to complete a pre-workshop exercise. It will be sent 1 month in advance (early November).
